screen-shot-2017-02-26-at-7-27-09-pmMultiple organizations and contributors joined together to help a partnership between the USFA and NVFC to re-evaluate known critical health and safety issues in the volunteer fire service and provide the resources necessary to address such issues. Six overall critical issues were identified.

The six identified critical issues are:

  1. The Culture
  2. Recruitment and Retention
  3. Funding
  4. Expanded Roles of Firefighters
  5. Personal Health
  6. Safety Protocol
